The read contains a number of erotic and playful scenes, whilst still being faithful to the myth and the fateful role the pomegranate seeds play a key in the couple’s future.

I LOVE re-interpretations of ancient myths and legends, particularly ones that question our understanding of who is the bad guy – life is not always that clear cut! This erotic romance, which is can be devoured in one sitting, is up there amongst the best.

Role Playing Smutfest with a Superhero Twist!

Lucy Felthouse’s A Different Kind of Cosplay is one hell of a hot and kinky read! If you have ever wondered what it would be like to get up close and personal with your fave superheroes then here’s your chance to find out in this fast and furious erotic read!

Reese is certainly one lucky girl when Zach her estate agent partner, who is not usually an Avengers fan, takes her and her libido completely by surprise, when he proceeds to ravish her in a series of deliciously kinky and lust filled role playing scenes, the likes neither of them has ever encountered before… Reese’s fantasies about her screen idols are realised and both are inspired to push the boat out when it comes to new experiences! Trying to keep a fairly neutral face on my local bus route into town when I was reading a number of their encounters was extremely challenging.

The read contains erotic and kinky scenes which hit the spot again and again (and then some more). I now know what will be going at the top of my own birthday wish list. 😉

I was honoured and SO excited to receive an ARC of this book! I have read a number of Charlotte Fallowfield’s books, writing as CJ Fallowfield (Torn, The Temptress and All That Glisters) and have hugely enjoyed them all. My Review ~ Loveable Feel Good Romantic Comedy! 5 stars

Charlotte Fallowfield’s Never the Bride is a feel good romantic comedy, the ideal read if you are after an instant pick me up! It contains an unlucky in love but totally likeable heroine Abbie, who careers from one embarrassing or compromising situation to another, whilst she lives her life and looks for Mr Right. It is the first book in the author’s Dilsbury Village series, but can be read as a standalone.

Abbie meets Miller, a sexy American IT specialist whilst she is once again bridesmaid (never the bride) at the wedding of one of her old school friends. The scene where they meet is one of pure comic genius, as are many other scenes in the book! Their attraction is instantaneous yet they live thousands of miles apart, separated by the Atlantic. The romance sees a non-starter until their paths once again cross at yet another wedding and Miller’s persistence pays off.

Yet Abbie is very much wedded to village life and her friends in Dilsbury, in the centre of England. Can there possibly be a future with Miller, the swoon worthy alpha male, who is equally committed to his career and home in New York? How can they meet each other half way, when half way is the middle of the Atlantic? Is Abbie forever destined to remain the bridesmaid and never the bride? Should Abbie look elsewhere for her beau? The book is a rollercoaster ride of emotions and humour!

Abbie’s tale is recounted in Charlotte Fallowfield’s signature comedic style, interspersed with some sexy scenes. Village life in Dilsbury is never boring – there are a wealth of lovable and entertaining individuals who accompany Abbie on her exploits and support her in her quest for Mr Right. Characters incude Abbie’s BFF Georgie, Daphne and David her neighbours, Heath the sexy gardener and last but not least her adorable pooch Sumo, who plays a key role in the plot.

I’ll say no more – this read just about killed me with laughter. It full of hilarious scenes, recounted with typical British humour.

Highly recommended for fans of Romantic Comedies. A riotous read guaranteed.

My Review ~ 5 stars

Dark and Deliciously Twisted!

The Found, #2 in The Crow City Series, is a thoroughly intense and addictive read. I was captivated by the unfolding story of the contract killer Priest and Willow his captive, a story which examines dark and disturbing themes including non consent, violence and sexual assault. If you are at all likely to be distressed by any of these issues you may wish to give this book a miss – and I do not say this lightly. Cole McCade is a new author for me and I will most definitely be reading more of his book! The book can be read as a standalone, although the main character of Priest, the hero (or should I say anti-hero) does feature in the other books in the series.

The book is one of the darkest novels that I have read and boy was it one hell of an amazing ride! Both the hero and the heroine are broken before they meet: Willow, a long time carer to her father has been scarred on account of traumatic childhood relationships, and Priest due to his horrific experiences as a prisoner of war (experiences which we gain a glimpse of in this book).

I do not want to reveal more about their respective pasts, as finding out about what makes the main characters tick is part of the joy of reading – suffice to say that Willow believes that sexual contact is dirty and that prior to her abduction by Priest she felt that her life was at an all time low. The book contains some accounts of Willow as she is growing up and we are given an insight into her psyche and what has made her what she is today. As to Priest, his coping mechanism is to dedicate his life to killing those who he views as scourges on society – the paedophiles, drug dealers and abusers. A hired killer he prides himself on ensuring that his targets are deserving of his attention before he takes on the hit.

The book contains violent and graphic scenes, any of them sexual and as I said is not for the faint hearted. When Willow inadvertently witnesses Priest’s latest kill, he kidnaps her and takes her to his hideout. He is in a quandary as self preservation dictates that he should he kill her to avoid leaving loose ends. However, his personal code baulks at destroying an innocent – yet just how innocent is Willow? Priest decides to find out as such as he can about his captive, probing into her life and psychology to decide whether or not she deserves to die. Much of the read is chilling. Willow’s terror at being abducted by Priest is palpable and I really felt for her.

Slowly Willow, the captive and Priest, the killer, form a connection, a connection that becomes more and more intense, physical and sexual. Ironically Willow finds that her captivity allows her to find inner strength that she did not know she had, facing up to her past and what she is capable of. Her captivity and the fact that Priest could decide to extinguish her life at any point gives her the freedom to act as never before – after all what does she have to lose?

The sex scenes between Willow and Priest sizzle and undoubtedly had me questioning the boundaries between non consent, dubious consent and consensual sex. Priest is a dark and tortured anti-hero and throughout the read I was unsure if he could ever redeem himself as he is so damaged. Willow’s fate certainly hung in the balance. Yet slowly Willow, who he comes to refers to as Firefly, comes to represent light in his darkness. It remained to be seen whether this will be enough to secure either Willow or even Priest’s own salvation…

The read really is a tour de force for fans of dark reads and dark romance. Highly recommended.

I SO loved this sinful and morally questionable capture fantasy, a dark re-telling of Beauty and the Beast! It is a sexy as f*** adult read which pushed my buttons on all fronts. It is without doubt a MUST read for fans of dark romance.

When nurse Kiara attempts to kidnap Wolfe, a patient in her care, she soon finds that the tables are turned and the captor becomes the captive. Wolfe has unexplained superhuman powers and there is absolutely NO way he will allow his nurse to hand him over to anyone, whatever the consequences. Besides he wants to have some fun with Kiara, using his terrifying powers to bend her to his will and satisfy his animalistic desires, before he decides whether to kill her for her deception….

The read is dark, dirty and depraved (in spades). Much of the plot focuses on Kiara and Wolfe and the shifting power relations between them. Wolfe is truly terrifying in his animalistic form, controlling and bending Kiara with his superpowers and also with anything else he lays his hands on… The author surely has one devilish imagination as Wolfe delivers torture and punishment to this woman he craves to possess in every way imaginable! Yet strangely Kiara finds that being the captive of the beast is not always bad, especially as she hungers after his dominant touch….

The darkness and depravity is tempered by the complex romance which develops between the couple. Yet will Wolfe’s animalistic desires herald Kiria’s demise? Will she be able to tame the Beast? Will those who desire his capture ever give up their quest for him?

I binged on the book in one sitting. It is an addictive read and if you like the heroes in the books you read to be dark and beastly, the sex deviant and kinky and the heroines up for the challenge every which way they can (and more besides) you will LOVE this read.

“The dress will need to come off,” I tell her with a playful smile—I want her to feel at ease.

She turns to the side and unzips herself, reaches for the skirt of her dress, and pulls it over her head. She’s wearing a sexy pink lace bra and matching thong. I wonder if she slipped those on thinking of me. Or David? I wonder how long it would take me to rip it all off. She peeks at me through her lashes, still shy but aroused. Her gaze finally reaches mine, and it’s pleading, begging me to come to her.

I kneel in front of her. I desperately want to kiss her—she’s just so beautiful. But I know that if I kiss her, I’ll get lost in her and I’ll want to make love to her.
